It's a GIRL.!!!

Last week on December 22nd, one of my friend since college did a baby shower, she is expecting a Girl and is due next month. Hopefully on the 16th since i wrote down on the chart that she will be delivering her baby that day hehe! =)

Anyways so along the baby gym mat that me and my sister gave her, i also handmade a card for her. I had lots of fun making it. 

I am going to write down a little bit of the details that i put into the card. 

1. The giraffe that i use is from K&Company Animal Tale Dimensional Stickers. 

2. Pink ribbon from American Craft pack that comes in 24 pcs

3. Two buttons that i got from Walmart

4. 6x6 Designer paper pad from "My Mind Eyes" the paper pad is called "Happier" 

5. Kraft Cardstock

6. "Congratulations" sentiment from Recollections.

7. Uni-Ball Signo White pen.

so this card i handmade following the ideas i found on Google.com. I search baby girl handmade cards and there was a lot of ideas to chose from. No tutorials were use to made this card.

Felices Fiestas!!!

Wow!!! Tanto tiempo, no he escrito en mi blog desde hace 1 mes!!! El mes se fue volandoo... así que acá estoy de vuelta para subir ya las fotos de las tarjetas que hice de Navidad! No fueron muchas pero bueno acá las voy a subir ya que fueron enviados/regalados y algunos recibidos o pronto por recibir. No me han avisado algunas amigas pero bueno deben de estar muy ocupadas en estas épocas!

En total fueron 13 tarjetas navideñas, aunque dos tarjetas no aparecen en la foto, las subiré aparte... como verán trate de usar diferentes papel decorativos, estilos y diseños. Claro sin faltar los 2 colores principales como el rojo y el verde. también el blanco que combina con todos! Me encanto y me divertí muchísimo haciendo este proyecto de tarjetas de Navidad, creo que empece a hacer el primero a finales de Agosto? si no mal recuerdo! jaja 4 meses antes de Navidad, bueno nunca es muy temprano para hacer tarjetas de Navidad si los quiero hacer con tiempo y que me salga bien! El resto creo que empece a hacerlos ya en Noviembre y como siempre los envié/regale a ultima hora! JA! 

Acá esta los otros 2 que no aparecen junto con los otros.

Estos 2 se los mande a Liz de Craftingeek* Espero que le guste y que le lleguen bien a México junto con otras cositas que le envié también.

New Material

Couple of weeks ago i went to Michaels and Walmart to get new materials, (like i don't have enough material for Scrapbook already lol), anyways it seems i just want to buy more and more and yet don't get to use all of them... oh well.

I haven't upload any new cards, because lately i have been busy and haven't got a chance to make more cards other than Christmas card which i will be mailing out soon, probably in two weeks after that i will be able to upload all of them here...

Mis 5 Favoritos!

En esta ocasión les voy a ensenar mis materiales favoritos que he estado usando últimamente en mis proyectos... Primero los vi en los tutoriales de YouTube, algunas personas lo usaban y me anime a comprarlos y ponerle uso. 

A continuación les voy a ensenar cuales son:

1. Mi favorito corta bordes "Crop a dile corner chomper" corta los bordes super bien, viene de dos tamaños 1/4" y 1/2", cada vez que lo uso me los deja bien cortado y los residuos quedan adentro y para botar los residuos se abre la parte del medio. Cuesta un poco caro pero recomiendo esta a las otras que no me lo deja cortado bien.

2. "Multi Liquid Glue", De todo las pega que he comprado esta es la mejor porque me deja las tarjetas bien pegado, (Hay algunas pegas pasa que después de unos días se le van quitando el adhesivo pero esta dura muy bien) Viene al principio con una puntilla chiquita para mayor facilidad y otro mas grueso.!

3. "Glitter Glue" Amo este glitter al principio cuando lo compre no le di mucho uso pero después que le di uso no paraba de usarlo en las tarjetas, le da un toque bellisimo, me encanta como se ve ese toque de brillantes en las tarjetas.

Aquí un ejemplo de como se ve con los glitters:

4. "Distress Ink" le da un toque de vintage en los bordes de las tarjetas. 

 5. "Listones" Amooo los listones, se puede usar para cualquier ocasión de cualquier manualidad, las uso mucho en las tarjetas para darle el ultimo toque. Esta es mi colección de listones y pienso agregarle mas!!! 

 Bueno estos son mis top 5 de materiales favoritos, la verdad tengo mucho mas pero por ahora son estos... Estoy pensando que voy a hacer estos de los top 5 de vez en cuando, sera para la próxima cuando compre algún material nuevo.

Another Birthday...

I know another birthday, i think it is my favorite theme to make cards haha... 

I made this birthday card months ago in advance for someone, i believe it was going to be for my BF's mom birthday which was in September, BUT guess what?!!! i totally forgot to give it to her!!!! i know... i made it for nothing... well the good thing is that i didn't write anything on it so i can still give it to someone else...... The thing is that i like it so much, i kinda wanna stay with it....

I believe this is the second time i make a card without following the measurements at all... in the tutorial she uses inches and i have never use inches before. I only learned to use cm. so its kind of complicated for me to follow the measurements when it comes to inches, and i decided to do the measurements on my own. 

The tutorial is by Kristina Werner (MACM - Happy Birthday), she is AMAZING.!!! i love every single cards that she make.!!! every time i make a card from her tutorials is a challenge for me, because i have to figure out how to use the measurements since she uses inches. But i always have so much fun making it and the result are not quite bad right?!

Christmas is coming...

Lately, i have been working on Christmas card, i cannot believe Christmas is coming soon!!! just 2 months left until my favorite holiday to come plus my 3 yrs anniversary with my BF hehe :) 

I started to make Christmas card like a month or two months ago (haha i know so soon) well i have to get them ready to mail them out soon to my friends, so they can get it on time, otherwise what is the point of making them and getting it late right? they have to get it before xmas... so far i only made 4 and i still need a couple more and start to mail them probably beginning of December so they can get them on time, since some states takes longer to arrive! I have download a lot of ideas from other blog, or just google some xmas cards ideas, none of them have YouTube tutorials so i wont post any tutorials videos of xmas cards... Anyways here is a preview of what i am working on the weekends. I hope my friends will like the cards as much as i do.

Su cumpleaños !!!

Así es, otro cumpleaños.!!! Y esta vez es el de mi novio...

En esta ocasión quise hacerle algo que le gustara mucho y que lo impresionara y esta tarjeta lo hizo, obvio esta tarjeta me tomo mucho tiempo para hacerlo, le dedique mucho tiempo ya que tenia que salir perfecto! Como siempre gracias al tutorial de Craftingeek* pude hacer esta linda tarjetita para mi novio, nunca he le comprado una! Desde su primer cumple hasta ahora he hecho las tarjetas para sus cumples... Espero que siempre le siga gustando mis tarjetas... y también espero poder seguir impresionándolo en cada detalle que le hago...

Princess Jasmine!

On June 8th, it was the 2nd birthday of my boyfriend's niece Jasmine. The theme this time was "Princess", and i decided to make a birthday card for her. 

The birthday card consist of 2 parts as you can see in the picture below, it took me a while to finish, because i was relying on a book called "Folding Ideas (for cards and envelope)" i bought it on Amazon.com and love the book at lot.! It comes with a CD where you can download the templates, it has so many ideas, i love each one of them, BUT the down side is that it doesn't come with the measurement, if you want a book that will take you step by step with measurements on how to make the card, then this book is not for you. This book only gives you the idea of making cards, and the rest its up to you and also the decoration.! Anyways, no link for tutorial as i learn this from the book.

It's a BOY.!!!

En esta ocasión hice tarjetas con la temática de bebe "Es un niño", ya que este año tengo 2 amigos que van a tener un niñO.!!! 

La primera tarjeta se lo hice para una amiga que la conosco desde que llegue a los Estados Unidos, somos amigas desde la secundaria (high School). Este es su primer bebe y es un niño, como no pude asistir a su baby shower se lo di a mi hermana para que se lo diera junto al regalo que le íbamos a dar. Nunca supe si le gusto la tarjeta, pero espero que si ya que es la primera tarjeta que hago con temática de bebe y no hubo ningún tutorial, aunque las ideas si las saque de YouTube, con los videos de allí me guie haciéndolos.!!!

El segundo se lo hice para unos de mis compañeros del trabajo, su esposa dio a luz a un niño que se llama "Aiden" y con mis compañeras de trabajo decidimos comprarle algo para su bebe, todas aportamos dinero para comprarle ropitas y yo me ofrecí a hacer una tarjeta para que todas pudiéramos escribir algo. A todos le encantaron y a mi también, ya que es la 2da tarjeta que hago con la temática de bebe y pude perfeccionarlo mejor. En esta no tengo ningún link para el tutorial ya que también lo busque en YouTube y me guie con las ideas de allí.

Birthday card's for my sister.

I made this for my sister 24th birthday back in July, i think this was the first time i made something for her haha...

Recently she started to learn how to bake and loves to do cupcakes, so i decided that will be the theme for the cards. I made 3 for her and all 3 comes from different tutorials. 

1. The first one is "Cupcake Pocket Card" where i put $$$ in there, you can also put a gift card or just write a note, there are lots of way you can do with it, the tutorial is from CraftStar, although the quality of her tutorial are kind of poor, but if you follow step by step you will get the idea and be able to make it, i did it, so can you.

2. The Second is like a cup, where you can put some candy, chocolate, a little gift and a note. Something tiny for that little cup. The tutorial was by Craftingeek my favorite channel and are all in spanish! http://youtu.be/3WgMvy8zwL0 

3. The last one is Cupcake card! this was my first challenge card, from a tutorial where it has no instructions at all, you can see step by step, but hardly the measurements that she use, so i decided to challenge myself and try to do it and i did it.! is not the same, but is similar and i love it. The tutorial is from Starofmay i lover her videos and her handmade card are gorgeous!!! Canastita llena de Amor

Esta vez hice cuatro diferentes tipos de cajitas o canastitas como lo dice en el tutorial que aprendí usando un papel decorado con las misma medidas de 6 x 6 pulgadas, con solo cortar el papel decorado con esas medidas puedes hacer estas 4 cajas de diferentes maneras, me encanto hacerlas, me divertí muchísimo haciéndolas y quise hacer mas. Al principio se vera un poco complicado el tutorial pero con paciencia y mucha dedicación lograras hacerla!

Estas cajitas son perfectas para recuerditos de baby shower, de cumpleaños, para bodas, etc. Hay mil maneras para decorarlas, así que divierte haciendo estas divertidas y lindas canastitas!!!

Waterfall Card

This is actually the 2nd waterfall card that i made, the first one was for my BF and it was the very first handmade card that i did for his birthday, but like i said previously on my blog, unfortunately i did not take a picture of it, for some reason i just didn't bother to take one haha. 

Anyways back to the card, this time i made it for a friend.! (yay i know finally i made something for someone besides my BF lol) so I had to return something to her and send it by mail so i said to myself why not return it with a handmade card?! so i did, and i hope she like it thought.!

Caja con Cajones

En esta caja con cajones como podrán ver la parte de afuera no esta terminada, y así la deje. Quería regalárselo a mi novio pero al final me quede con ella, ya que no sabia que ponerle en los cajoncitos, porque si le pongo dulces o chocolates se verían muy cursi jaja, en fin aca la tengo en mi cuarto, con polvito porque el ya lo vio y así lo deje para decorar mi cuarto!

Tarjeta Trishutter

Aquí les traigo OTRA manualidad por Craftingeek.! Obvio ella hace las mejores manualidades y verán muchos de las manualidades que he hecho fue gracias a sus tutoriales, donde se explica detalladamente como se hace y es de muy buena calidad, las instrucciones son super fáciles de seguir!

En esta ocasión hice la tarjeta llama "Trishutter" super hiper mega fácil de hacer, solo se requiere de un papel y listo! claro unos que otros papel deco para decorar tu tarjeta, una vez que sepas el procedimiento de como se hace pues hay que darle vuelta a tu imaginación!!! Esta tarjeta la hice para mi novio con la ocasión de celebrar su ascenso en el trabajo! :)

Gift Boxes

I love gift boxes, this was my first time making it and i LOVE them, of course they do require more time and different materials, in which i have to purchase them before starting to do, but once you start it, you wont be able to stop...

I did one and wanted to make more and more, first i was thinking it was going to be for my BF, yes again, like i mention before all i did was to give it to my BF as a gift for different special occasion, he was very impressed at first thought, but now... i guess not as impress since he knows how much i spend on scrapbook materials now lol. So the rest of the boxes i make them for fun and i still keep them 'cause i haven't find anything special to give it away yet! :)

Anyways here are all the Gifts Boxes that i made from different tutorials. I wont give the links this time unless someone request it.

This gift boxes is perfect as a favors for baby's shower, bridal's shower, or even for birthdays and weddings. Also for Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc etc'

Archivero Fotografico

Esta vez hice otra manualidad de Craftingeek, que se llama FotoTab también llamado archivero fotográfico. Este este otro regalito que se lo di a mi novio, bueno al principio hacia manualidades solo para mi novio, pero poco a poco fui haciendo para regalar a familiares y amigos. 

En este Archivero Fotográfico como lo indica el titulo, es un archivo para pegar fotos de ocasiones especiales entre mi novio y yo, y también pude agregar unos que otros detallismo mas una descripción de la foto. No se va a ver cada foto ya que es personal así que solo llega a ver un preview! Como siempre les dejo el link del tutorial para que vayan a chequearlo por si se animan a hacerlo!

Christmas 2011

This was my 2nd handmade card that i made for my boyfriend for Christmas, the first one was for his birthday, and i wish i had a picture of it, but unfortunately i don't. It was not my best work, but it was the very first handmade card that i made so i am very proud of it.

This card i learned watching the tutorials on YouTube in Craftingeek channel, i LOVE her videos! she is AMAZING and her videos are HQ!!! so is a must watch if you haven't seen in, the tutorials are in Spanish though, but you will learn a LOT!!! Its very good for beginners. My sister was the one who discover her, lol she found it and gave it to me and since then i learn a lot.

Mis Materiales

Aquí están mis materiales, son solo algunos, ya que con el tiempo fui comprando mas y mas. Empece solo con lo básico ya que todavía no sabia como era toda la cosa de hacer tarjetas y todo lo que tenga que ver con manualidades! 

Todo empezo cuando necesitaba regalarle algo a mi novio, algo que fuera unico, especial hecho por mi, empeze a ver tutoriales de manualidades en YouTube... Con mucha paciencia y ganas de aprender llegue a hacer lo que hago ahora, tampoco soy una experta en hacer tarjetas pero alli voy... 

Compro mis materiales en algunas tiendas como Target, Walmart, Marshall etc. pero mi tienda favorita de manualidades es "Michael" esa tienda venden de TODO!!! puedo pasar horas y horas alli sin aburrirme! aunque lo malo es que las cosas que venden alli es muy caro pero vale la pena! Antes compraba materiales al azar, osea lo que veia que me gustaba y etc pero ahora mas que todo compro materiales por ocacion, dependiendo si es para cumpleanos, navidad, o baby shower.  

En fin, en el proximo blog podran ver las tarjetas que he hecho!
